Kaduna federal polytechnic students from Mass communication department visited liberty radio FM for their assignment, the visit was done on 19th September 2023.

They visited the station purposely to know how the station manage their daily activities and to know the managements they have in series.

This is how the visit ends from Mass Communication students to liberty radio.

One of our classmate who was name Amra give birth to a new born baby boy on 8 September,2023 and did the naming ceremony a week after 15 September,2023.

Many of Amra’s class mate went to the naming ceremony which take place on Friday at Hayin Dan Mani near bokon daji, masoya manzo Road.

Amra with her husband named the baby with MUHAMMAD SHURIEM.

Today 15 September,2023 marked as the day of MASS COMMUNICATION ORIENTATION. This program of orientation held on at chemical engineering hall Kaduna Polytechnic by 10:00am.

The newly admitted students in the department were advise to work with the rules and regulations of the school.

Two days warning strike held up from 05 to 7 September,2023. This strike held on because all the labour were ask to join as a result of subsidy removal. Both States and federal institution join, electricity, hospital e.t.c were students were pursue to go home, hospital were locked and electricity went for strike.

This is how Labour did there two(2) days warning strike by locking all the places.

This was a release to show the postponement of examination date from 11 to 23 September, 2023 to 2 to 14 October, 2022. This was also released after meeting that held up with the management in other to allow students to cover up there semester load. Also this happen as a result of not all the Lecturers finish there continue assessments e.g tests, Assignments/ presentation.

Muslim students society of Nigeria (MSSN) of mass communication department orientation held on 13/9/2023 by 1:30pm at chemical engineering.

These has happen to be one of the sweetest, famous orientation in the department. So many topics were taught were first speaker Malam Abubakar Sadiq Yusuf (Chief Imam) spoked his topic on civilization in Islam were he advised us not to be dressing indecent which Europeans bring to us. He ask us to maintain our religion and be dressing decently.

The second speaker Dr. Gambo Ibrahim (H.O.D Mass Communication department) spoked on Qualities of a good student were he advised us to have good moral and values/kindness to our lecturers & classmates.

The third speaker Malam Labaran Umar who was known as (Dean of CASSS) spoke on ethics of examination were he also advised students not to have the passion of exams malpractice which may affect students career.

So many lecturers spoked their advised on the ethics of examination especially exam malpractice. The lecturers include-: Malam Sanusi, Malam Doki, Malama Aisha Magaji, Malam Aliyu and Dr. Bashir Hadi Ashara.

Finally, this is how the orientation ends happily and unexpectedly.

In person of Malam Balarabe Ahmed Sa’id who was known as mass communication exam officer have leave for two years due to political appointment that was given to him as SSA STRATCOM TO KOGI STATE NASS MEMBER. Malam Balarabe serve for sixteen (16) month. He show his gratitude to the department especially the H.O.D Dr. Gambo Ibrahim who he said stood by him even in his dark moment of caringout daring and most difficult reforms. He said that he appreciate the free hand given to do anything he consider necessary to return integrity and credibility of the exam office.

He also thank his colleagues who have no difficulty or choice accepting some of the drastic measures introduced by his team to improve ways and means in the office, because without there cooperation they will have not succeeded.

During his time, they find new means of erasing the office. They return the department to presenting result at the Academic Board and earn a place of dignity, coming among the first five departments in the entire institution. With all the challenges of dealing with a large population of people who chose to resist change or sabotage it. He further says that, last year the department came first position in External assessment of quality assurance for result presented.

He lastly congratulate all the graduating students and wishes the rest of the students all overwhelming success in the journey ahead.

Indecent dressing have become stylish to many people especially the students of Kaduna Federal Polytechnic. Indecent dressing can be seen as an attitude of someone (male or female) that dresses to show part of their body especially breasts, buttocks, or even the underwear particularly does of the ladies that need to be covered.

Some factors that lead to indecent dressing are-: modernisation, bad parenting, and poor education enhance indecent dressing among Nigerian youths and should therefore be curbed. Indecent dressing tend to put someone in danger (especially the female gender) because of showing the sensitive part of their body that might exposed them to harm.

Also indecent dressing should be noted that no legislation had made a clear provision for indecent dressing but rather indecent act or indecent exposure.

Lastly, KADUNA POLYTECHNIC ETHICS AND DRESS CODE COMMITTEE called the attention of students to stop the habit of indecent dressing in school. They stated this in the class of HND2 MASS COMMUNICATION students when they go round the school departments at main campus in C.S.T.

They also stated the guideline forbids especially famale student from wearing superghetti top, off shoulder, wicket straps, mono straps, mini skirt, dress and skirt with slit above the knees, tight trousers, and dresses because they will take a serious action on it.

They also called the attention of HND2 to dress decently and become mature as they are the senior so that the follow students will learn from them because THE WAY THEY DRESS IS THE WAY THEY WILL BE ADDRESSED.
